The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who was drafted in the 16.Kraftfahr Ersatz Kompanie Luftgau Nachrichten Regiment z.b.V.1. This regiment was formed in the winter of 1940/41 in west France and was part of Luftgau Westfrankreich. In October 1941 the regiment was renamed into Luftgau Nachrichten Regiment Westfrankreich. It operated the entire war on the western front.
The 'A' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldier's bloodtype.
