Nice aluminium Fallschirmjäger related tag in used, but good condition.
The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall signs of wear. The number '62777' means the soldier served within the 14.(Panzerjäger) Kompanie/Fallschirmjäger Regiment 3. This regiment was formed in June 1940. In Mai 1941 the regiment moved to operate in Greece. In 1942 the regiment moved to the east to fight in Russia, but in May 1943 moved back to France to restrengthen and in July it moved to Rome, Italy where it operated until the end of the war.
The 'A' on boh parts of the tag stands for the soldier's bloodtype and the 'T' means the soldier has gotten a Tetanus shot.
