The document shows overall normal signs of wear. It's folded in the middle, but everything is solid. The medal was awarded to Funker Heinrich Schrader who served in the 1.Kompanie Panzer Nachrichten Abteilung 77. This abteilung was formed in March 1939 as Nachrichten Abteilung 77, but became a panzer related unit the moment it became part of the 5.Panzer-Division.
As part of this division it operated in Poland in September 1939, then France in May 1940. In early 1941 it operated in Yugoslavia and Greece and from the summer of 1941 onwards it operated in Russia in areas like Gshatsk, Brjansk, Orel and more.
The document is signed by the commander of the abteilung and is dated 12 October 1941.
