Very nice set of VWA award documents in used, but very good condition.
The set shows overall normal signs of wear. They are named to Füsilier Ernst Sichelschmidt who served in Grenadier Regiment 162. This regiment was formed in August 1939 as Infanterie Regiment 162 and was part of the 61.Infanterie-Division. This division and her unit saw its first action during the invasion of Poland in September 1939. After that it participated in the invasion of Belgium and then France. It stayed in France (Bretagne) until February 1941. From June 1941 onwards it operated in the area of Memel and Reval. From November 1941 onwards it fought on the eastern front in areas like Tichwin, Wolchow, Leningrad and Kingisepp. In the last stages of the war it operated in the Narwa area and Kurland.
The Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz was awarded on the 4th of April 1944 and the Verwundetenabzeichen in Silber was awarded on the 14th of May 1944.
