The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall normal signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served within the 1.Kompanie Nachschub Bataillon 690. This unit was formed in early June 1940 with 3 companies. It was put into action during the invasion of Russia in June 1940 under the command of the 4.Arme as part of Heeresgruppe Mitte. It was the entire war on the eastern front.
