The dog tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows normal signs of wear. The abteilung was formed in February 1940 in Sorau in der Lausitz and was part of Division 143 and became part of Division 153 in June 1941.
The 'B' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldiers bloodtype.
