The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall normal signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served within the Nachschubkompanie infanterie Divisions Nachschubführer 2. This unit was formed in August 1939 in Stettin. It was part of the 'Divisionseinheiten der 2.Infanterie-Division'. In Januari 1941 it became Panzer-Divisions-Nachschubführer 2, since the 2.Infanterie-Division became the 12.Panzer-Division.
The 'B' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldier's bloodtype.
