The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall normal signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served in the 1.Genesenden Kompanie II.Bataillon Gebirgsjäger Ersatz Regiment 138. This regiment trained and supplied soldiers for the 3.Gebirgs-Division.
The 'A' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldiers' bloodtype.
