Nice zinc Wehrmacht Gebirgsjäger related id-tag in used, but good condition.
The tag shows overall normal signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who was drafted in the 11.Kompanie Gebirgsjäger Ersatz Regiment 136. This regiment was formed in February 1940 in Innsbruck and it trained and supplied soldiers for units within the 2.Gebirgs-Division. This division operated in Norway and fought in Narvik and Kirkenes. It spend most of the war in Norway, Lappland and Denmark.
The 'O' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldier's bloodtype.
