Very nice aluminium Luftwaffe Flieger related tag in used, but excellent condition.
The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall normal signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served/was drafted in the 1.(Ausbildungs)kompanie Flieger Ausbildungs Regiment 22. This regiment was formed in April 1939. In November 1940 it moved to Warschau and in April 1941 to Gent, Belgium. In August 1942 it was renamed into Flieger Regiment 22 and in June 1944 it was renamed into Luftgau-Feld-Regiment Belgien-Nordfrankreich (mot. ) 22. The regiment was disbanned in September 1944 and the remnants where absorbed by the 3. or 5.Fallschirm-Division.
The 'O' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldier's bloodtype.
