In August 1942 the regiment was renamed into Flieger Regiment 32.
The commanding officer of the II.Abteilung was Officer Greif. The II.Abteilung fought against the Americans and where pushed back all the way to Metz where they where finally disbanned and the remnants of the soldiers where absorbed by the Fallschirmjäger and Heer.
