Very nice private purchased Wehrmacht officer's side cap or 'Schiffchen' in very good condition.

The cap shows overall normal signs of wear. The fabric is intact. No (moth)damages whatsoever. Complete with hand applied officer grade insignia. It once had a soutache, but this was due to regulations, removed at some point. The ghost of the soutache is still visible. The black lining is intact and nicely size marker '56'. The leather sweatband situated in the front section is suppled. It's a bit loose on once side. Marked in the middle.
Overall a superb cap.
