The overall condition of the Schirmmütze is very good. It has a lovely shape. Couple of small moth nibs, buth nothing major. The green piping is intact.
The visor cap is complete with aluminium cap eagle and cockade. On the inside, the leather sweatband is completely present, supple and solid. It shows minor signs of wear. It's marked on the inside with 'Deutsches Leder' and 'Po 1942' which stands for 'Polizei 1942'. The visor sits firm in place and there is no movement.
The sweat diamond is also present and protects the manufaturer 'Carl Halfar Uniform-Mützenfabrik' and then the address. It's also size marked '56,5'.
