The soldbuch shows overall normal signs of wear. It's pretty solid and complete with all pages. Friedrich Simon was a Reiter who was drafted, in October 1942, in the 1.Schwadron Kavallerie Ersatz Abteilung 1. He later served in the 5.Kompanie Landes Schützen Bataillon 223. At the beginning of 1945 the bataillon was put into action in Raum Heiligenbeil and by the end of the war it saw action in Raum Danzig. On the 1st of September 1944 Friedrich was promoted Oberschütze. The soldbuch is complete with the portrait of Friedrich and all pages with entries have been scanned.
