The Soldbuch shows overall normal signs of wear. It's solid and complete with all 24 pages. It belonged to Erwin Thiel who was an Oberfeldwebel within Stab Heeresgruppe E. This unit was formed in January 1943. Its operation area was Serbia, Greece, Kreta and Croatia. Later also Bulgaria and Yugoslavia.
All pages with entries have been scanned by us. Erwin earned (at least) the Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2.Klasse. The Soldbuch is complete with portrait of Erwin.
