The postcard shows overall minor signs of wear. Ernst was Kommandeur II.Bataillon Infanterie-Regiment 204 when he earned the Ritterkreuz in Januari 1942. In December 1942 he earned the Eichenlaub. By then the regiment was Jäger-Regiment 204 as part of the 97.Jäger-Division.
