Very nice press photograph of Knight's Cross winner Obergefreiter Hubert Brinkforth.

The photograph shows overall normal signs of (storage) wear. It's complete with caption on the back. The moment the photograph was taken Hubert was Richtschütze 14.Panzerjager Kompanie Infanterie Regiment 25 which was part of the 2.Infantertie-Division. Here he is sitting in a car holding a (early produced) Gewehr 98. 

Hubert earned the Ritterkreuz for his actions during the invasion of France in late Mai 1940. With his antitank canon he took out 9 British tanks near the town of Abbeville.
Brinkforth was the first (lower rank) soldier who was awarded the Ritterkreuz. 

The size of the photograph is 13cm*18cm. It's dated 23 July 1941.
