The photographs shows overall normal signs of wear. It's complete with paper caption on the back. Ciliax was Marinebefehlshaber Norwegen the moment the photo was released.
Ciliax earned the Ritterkreuz in late March 1942. He also earned the Deutsches Kreuz in Gold, Flotten-Kriegsabzeichen, Wehrmachtbericht and many more awards. The other Ritterkreuzträger is Korvetten Kapitän Klünder, which was just awarded.
The size of the photograph is 13cm*18cm. Dated 9 October 1944.
