Interesting Flak award/promotion document grouping named to Oberwachtmeister Adolf Hartmann.

All documents show overall signs of use, but they are in good condition. The grouping belonged to Unteroffizier Adolf Hartmann. Adolf started his career in the 5.Kompanie Infanterie Regiment Kassel (15) according to his DRL award booklet. At some point he switched to the Luftwaffe and served in the 1.Batterie I.Abteilung Flak-Ersatzabteilung 29. On the 1st of November 1939 he was promoted to the rank of Wachtmeister. Unfortunately Adolf died in combat in late April/early Mai 1942. He was promoted from the rank of Wachtmeister to the rank of Oberwachtmeister on the 1st of March 1942. He now served in the 2.Batterie Reserve Flak Abteilung 236. This abteilung saw since Januari 1942 combat on the eastern front in the area of Petropawlowka and later Obliwskaja and Saporoshje.
The grouping consist out:

- DRL sportabzeichen (Bronze) award booklet with portrait of Adolf.
- Promotion document from Unteroffizier - Wachtmeister.
- Promotion document from Wachtmeister - Oberwachtmeister. Signed postmortem in June 1942 by Regimentskommandeur Oberst Gustav Hinke (Flak-Rgt.17)
- Letter/notification from the Wehrmeldeamt Wesel to the mother of Adolf, Emma Hartmann, that Adolf has died. Dated 8 Mai 1942
