Very nice and hard to find World War 1 Gebirgsjäger related tag or Erknnungsmarke in excellent condition.
The tag shows overall normal signs of wear. It belonged to Joseph Laugel who served in the Gebirgs Ersatz Abteilung II.Bataillon Jäger Regiment 3 Tragtier Kompanie. This unit was formed in 1915 for the Alpenkorps. This korps operated in Tiorl, Serbia, Greece and from March 1916 onwards on the western front in Verdun, Fleury and Thiaumont. It then moved back to the east were it operated in Rothen-Turm-Paß, Arges, Rimnicul-Sarat and Rumania. In September 1917 it operated in Italy in areas like Isonzo, Alpen and Udine. In Janaury 1918 it moved back to France Vogesen, then Flandersin Belgium and then France again.
