The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall normal signs of wear. 'M.St.A.' Stands for (Landungs-) Marine-Stammabteilung. The 'S' Propably stands for 'Seelöwe', but this is not 100% certain. The plan for the invasion of England was called 'Operation Seelöwe' and for this invasion the Landungs Marine Stammabteilung was formed in 1940. In November of that year it was moved to Beverloo (Belgium). In May 1941 it was renamed in Marinestammregiment Beverloo.
On the back a partial pownr. is still visible.
