Very nice and uncommon dated luftwaffe related dog tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' in used, but very good condition.
The dog tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served within the 3.Batterie Reserve Flakscheinwerfer Abteilung 609.
The abteilung was formed in August 1939 in Hamburg-Altona from parts of the III.Abteilung Flak Regiment 6 and consisted out of 3.Batteries. It operated in the German areas of Hamburg, Flensburg, Osnabrück and Bremen. What makes this tag interesting that it's stamped with the year 1940. Pretty uncommon.
The 'B' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldier's bloodtype.
