>The mess kit is for 95% covered in its original color. Both the top and bottom are marked by the same maker 'FWB.N38' which means the maker was F.W.Brockelmann Aluminiumwerk and it was produced in 1938. These higher models, in this color, where probably issued to the Waffen-SS.
This example was found in 2022 in a barn with some other equipment.
Not easy to find model and ideal for an early Waffen-SS (or Wehrmacht) mannequin display.
