Very nice Flak Regiment 24 1.Oktober 1938 (Anschluss) award document.

The document is in overall good condition. Folded once. It was awarded to Gefreiten Alfred Schröter who served in the Flak Regiment 24. He was awarded to medal on 22.September 1939. The regiment was formed in the autumn of 1936. With the start of the war the regiment was positioned on the Westwall and supported the 1.Armee during the invasion of France in May 1940. In August 1940 the regiment was stationed in Raum Oostende (Belgium) before it was moved in April 1941 to fight with XXXX.Armeekorps in the Balkan. In June 1941 it was part of the 17.Armee and participated in Operation Barbarossa. In 1942 it fell under the 15.Flak-Division and fought in the Kaukasus. And in 1944 in Jassy (Hungary).
