The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall normal signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served within the Luftgau-Kommando III (Berlin). A L.G.K. provided administrative and logistical support to each airfield and the headquarters was manned by a Generalmajor and 50-100 officers
The 'A' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldier's bloodtype.
This tag is published in the book 'Deutsche Erkennungsmarken' by Jean Höidal (page 169).
