The dog tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' is a well preserved ground find. The 'Bla71061' tell us that the tag belonged to a member of the Gruppe IV 11./Kampfgeschwader 76. Gruppe IV was formed in July 1940 in Beaumont-le-Roger (France) as Ergänzungsstaffel/KG76 and increased to a Gruppe in 1941. It was stationed in France until Februari 1944 when it moved back the Germany. The Aircrafts the Gruppe used where the Do.17Z and the Ju88A.
In December 1944 the 11./KG76 was used to form the 10./EKG1 (Ergänzungskampfgeschwader 1). It was based in Germany and later in Pilsen, Czech Replublic. The aircrafts they used where the Ar234 and the Me-262B-1a.
