Nice Infanterie Sturmabzeichen announcement letter in used, but good condition.
The letter shows overall normal signs of wear. It was written by the Leutnant and Kompanie Führer of the 4.Kompanie Infanterie Regiment 194 to Gefreiten Wilhelm Harms who was at the Reserve Lazarett VIII at that moment.
This regiment was formed in August 1939 from different regiments and was part of the 71.Infanterie-Division. With this division the regiment saw combat during the Westfeldzug, invasion of France via Belgium. In June 1941 it participated in Operation Barbarossa. It fought in areas like Przemysl, Kiew, Charkow, Donbogen and Stalingrad. The division and her unit where destroyed during the Stalingrad battle. It was rebuild in Februari 1943 from 2 grenadier regiments in Denmark. It was put into action in Italy.
