The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall normal signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who was drafted in the Infanterie Panzerjäger Ersatz Kompani Infanterie Ersatz Regiment 6. The regiment was formed in late August 1939 in Bielefeld and trained and supplied soldier for 196.Infanterie-Division.
The 'A' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldier's bloodtype.
