Very nice German press photograph in used, but very good condition.
The photo shows overall normal signs of storage wear. It shows the staff car of General Rauter which was ambushed by the Dutch resistance on the 7th of March 1945. Hans Albin Rauter was a höhere SS- und Polizeiführer en Generalkommissar für das Sicherheitswesen in the Netherlands.
He survived the attack, but in retaliation, the German authorities executed 263 people. Rauter survived the war, but was sentenced to death in 1949.
The size of the photograph is 12cms*13cms. It has a Dutch development stamp on the back.
