The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served at the Fliegerhorst Kommandantur (der Klasse A) Wesendorf. This was the HQ of the Fliegerhorst Wesendorf, which is situated near Wolfsburg.
This was the home of Lehrgeschwader 1 and Kampfgeschwader 30. The dog tag is broken, but complete and solid.
