Very nice aluminium Luftwaffe Fliegerhorst related tag in used, but very good condition.
The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall normal signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served within the Fliegerhorst Kommandantur E. 14/VI. This unit was formed in late August 1939 as Fliegerhorst Kommandantur E Buer in Buer. In March 1940 it was renamed Fliegerhorst Kommandantur E. 14/VI. In June 1940 it moved to Epinoy, France were it stayed until September 1943. It then moved to Yugoslavia were it stayed until April 1944.
Interesting to see is that the soldier already served within this unit from the beginning since the 'Buer' has been stamped over with '14/VI'.
The soldier carved in the 'O' on both parts of the tag which stands for his bloodtype.
