The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served at the Fliegerhorst Kommandantur Crailsheim. This was the HQ of the Fliegerhorst Crailsheim, which is situated between Stuttgart and Neurenberg.
The 'T' on one part of the tag stands for Tetanus.The 'A' on the back, carved in by the soldier, is the start of his POW number, but the rest of the number is unclear. The dog tag is broken, but complete and solid.
