The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall signs of wear, however it's solid. It belonged to a soldier who served in a batterie of Flakscheinwerfer Ersatz Abteilung 5. This abteilung was formed in September 1940 in Fürth as Flak Ersartz Abteilung 5 with batteries. In the winter of 1941/42 it was converted into a Scheinwerfer unit. It operated the entire war in Fürth.
On the back the soldier carved in his POW number.
