The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served/was drafted in the 4.batterie Flak Ersatz Abteilung 24. This abteilung was formed in August 1939 in Iserlohn as Flak Ersatz Abteilung 24. In the winter of 1941/42 it was converted to Flak Scheinwerfer Ersatz Abeitlung 24. It operated in the area of Rensburg.
The 'A' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldiers' bloodtype.
