The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served/was drafted in the Flakscheinwerfer Ersatz Abteilung 5. This unit was formed in September 1940 in Fürth with 5 batteries as Flak Ersatz Abteilung 5. In 1941/1942 it was converted in to a Flakscheinwerfer Ersatz Abteilung 5. From August 1941 untill May 1945 the unit was stationed in Zirndorf.
