The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows signs of wear. The abteilung was formed in August 1939 in Krems-Mautern with 5 batteries as Flak Ersatz Abteilung 8. In the winter of 1941/42 the abteilung was converted in to Flakscheinwerfer-Ersatz-Abteilung 8. It was stationed the entire war in Krems-Mautern.
The 'A' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldier's bloodtype.
