The document shows overall normal signs of wear. It's solid and free of damages. The medal was awarded to Gefreiten Zender who served in the 16.Kompanie Gebirgsjäger Regiment 91. This regiment was formed in 1940 and was part of the 4.Gebirgs-Division (Enzian). It operated in the Balkans and then mainly in Russia. The medal was awarded on the 13th of August 1941.
It's signed by Generalmajor und Divisionskommandeur Karl Eglseer, wearer of the Ritterkreuz des Eisernes Kreuz (Oct.1941).
