The tag shows overall signs of wear. The number '210489' tells us that the soldier served/was drafted in the 8.Kompanie Fallschirm Lehr Regiment. This regiment was formed in September 1943 as Fallschirm Lehr Bataillon. In early 1944 it became a regiment and the commander was Oberst Harry Herrmann. In June 44 the regiment was renamed into Fallschirm Lehr Regiment 21. It trained and supplied soldiers for different Fallschirmjäger units, but it also participated in battles such as Operation Marked Garden and Operation Veritable.
The 'T' on both parts of the tag means the soldier has been given a tetanus shot.
