The dog tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows normal signs of wear. The I.Abteilung of Regiment 52 was formed in the winter of 1938 in Magdeburg with 5 batteries. The abteilung supported the 8.Armee during the invasion of Poland. In May 1940 it was put into action with the V.Armeekorps during the invasion of France. After France it was brought back to Germany. In June 1941 it participated in the invasion of Russia as part of Heeresgruppe Mitte. In early 1942 was part is the 9.Armee and fell under the command of Flak Regiment 125 and was still stationed in Russia (Rshew). In November 1943 it was part of Flak Regiment 6 and was stationed in the Witebsk area. In May 1944 it was part of Flak Regiment 134 and in September 1944 Flak Regiment 35. It moved around a lot :-). The 'O' on the EKM means the bloodtype. This was also written with a sharp object on the back.
In 1945 the abteilung was stationed in Weichselbogen.
