3./Fl.Ausb.Rgt.14 EKM (Russia)

Very nice Luftwaffe dogtag in good condition that belonged to a soldier that served in 3.Kompanie Flieger Ausbildungs Regiment 14. This regiment was formed in April 1939 in Klagenfurt. In August 1942 it was redesignated to Flieger Regiment 14. In october 1942 the regimentwas used to form the new Luftwaffen-Feld-Division 4. The division saw combat in the area of Welish and Vitebsk. In November 1943 the division was taken over by the Heer. In the Summer of 1944 the division, as part of the 3.Panzerarmee, defended Vitebsk. They got encircled by the Russians during Operation Bagration and where quickly destroyed. The remains of the division were used to form the Korps-Abteilung H. In September the Korps-Abteilung H was used to form the 95.Infanterie-Division. It was still part of the 3.Panzerarmee and saw action in areas like Memel, Samland and Hela. In Januari 1945 it fought in the same area as the Panzergrenadier-Division Großdeutschland. The division and its units where captured by the Russians.
