The unit trained and supplied soldiers for 3 different Heeres-Küstenartillerie-Abteilung, lots of Artillerie Abteilungen and 4 Artillerie Regiments. In October 1941 the 2.Batterie was used to form the Artillerie Lehr Regiment 2. A new batterie was formed and later the abteilung was split into an Ersatz and an Ausbildungs unit.
