Nice worn dog tag from a soldier who served in the 2.Batterie Flak Scheinwerfer Ersatz Abteilung 15.
The dog tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows signs of wear. The abteilung was formed as Flak Ersatz Abteilung 15 in early 1940 in München-Gauting with 5 batteries. The unit was converted in late 1941/ early 1942 into Flakscheinwerfer Ersatz Abteilung 15. In 1943 it moved to Augsburg-Kriegshaber where it was operational until the end of the war.
The 'B' on both parts on the back of the tag stands for the soldiers bloodtype.
Flakscheinwerfer tag are not so easy to find.
