The document show overall normal signs of use. The medal was awarded on the 1 of December 1938 to Unteroffizier Heinrich Schenkel. Heinrich served in the 13.Batterie Flak Regiment 6 from Rendsburg. The III.Abteilung was formed in November 1938 as a Scheinwerfer Motorisiert unit. From 1939 untill 1943 it was stationed in Hamburg. From 1942-1943 it served as the III./Flakscheinwerfer Regiment 3 and it supported the Himmelbett System.
