Nice Flieger Ausbildungs Regiment erkennungsmarke in used, but good condition.
Very nice Luftwaffe dogtag in good condition that belonged to a soldier that served in 1.Kompanie (I.Bataillon) Flieger Ausbildungs Regiment 72. This regiment was formed in April 1939 in Detmold from the Flieger Ersatz Abteilung 72.
In August 1942 the regiment was renamed into Flieger-Regiment 62 and in November it moved to France and was stationed in Montpellier. This same month it was also renamed again into Luftwaffen-Feld-Division 10. This division was put into action in the Leningrad area.
In november 1943 the division became part of the Heer and became known as the 10.Feld-Division (L). Is saw action in Oranienbaum until it got disbanned in Februari 1942. Remains of the division where absorbed by the 170.Infanterie-Division. With this division it fought in areas like Narwa, Suwalki, Ostpreußen and Hela.
The 'O' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldiers bloodtype.
