Nice Flieger Ausbildungs Regiment erkennungsmarke in used, but good condition.
Very nice Luftwaffe dogtag in good condition that belonged to a soldier that served in 1.Kompanie (I.Bataillon) Flieger Ausbildungs Regiment 62. This regiment was formed in April 1939 in Quedlinburg from the Flieger Ersatz Abteilung 62.
In August 1942 the regiment was renamed into Flieger-Regiment 62 and in October it was renamed Luftwaffen-Feld-Division 9 and saw combat on the Eastern front near Leningrad. In November 1943 the division was taken over by the Army (Heer) as 9.Feld-Division (L). It fought mainly in the Kessel von Oranienbaum.
In Februari 1944 the division was destroyed and the remaining troops where divided under Infanterie-Division 61, 225 and 227.
The 'O' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldiers bloodtype.
