The fork is in excellent condition and shows some normal signs of use. The piece is nicely marked by 'Gebrüder Hepp' from 'Pforzheim', marked with the number '90', meaning it is silver-plated and marked 'Offizierheim Heuberg', meaning it was for officers' use in the officers quarters at a military base in 'Heuberg' (Germany).
The fork is approx. 19cm long.
Offizierheim Heuberg was part of Truppenübungsplatz Heuberg, a military training base that, in 1939 was the home of the Gebirgsjäger 'Enzian' Division. From 1941 - 1942 it was to home to Bewährungseinheit 999 and from 1943 - 1945 it housed the Winterkampfschule des Wehrkreises V, Legion Freies Indien, Division Italia and the 2.Division der Russischen Befreiuungsarmee (ROA).
Beautiful piece that would be perfect for an officer's display.
