The poncho shows overall signs of wear. Approx 20 buttons are present. It's maker marked and dated but very vague. It's also L.B.A.38 (Luftwaffe bekleidungsamt/ 1938) marked and it has 2 unit markings. One the them reads I/Flak Rgt. 52 which stands for I.Abteilung Flak Regiment 52. The other marking is too vague to read properly. The I.Abteilung was formed in November 1938 and saw it's first action during the invasion of Poland and later during the invasion of France. After France it participated in the invasion of Russia.
