Very nice Wehrmacht entrenching tool or 'Klappspaten' with cover in used, but very good condition.

The klappspaten shows overall normal signs of use. Nicely marked with a WaA marking and 3-letter code 'dpb'. On the wood still some minor remnants of green paint can be seen. It was repainted once. The leather cover is supple and solid. Marked on the back with a WaA marking and 'bml/41' which indicates it was produced in 1941 by Hans Romer. The stud on the strap has been replaced and sewn so that it was not lost in the field. There is a name on the inside of the cover.
