This mountain troops jacket is in slightly used but excellent condition and complete with all buttons. It has a nice machine-applied bevo-constructed edelweiss on the right sleeve. The thread matches that of the jacket, but we are not sure if it was period applied.

The jackes was made in the former 'Czechoslovakia', which was conquered and occupied by the Germans. The maker's mark is hard to read, but the town of 'Prossnitz' where the maker was based is clearly legible as are the depot stampes 'WBr.40' or 'Wien-Brn 1940'. The jacket is also nicely size marked.
