The strap shows overall normal signs of use. The leather is supple and solid. Nicely marked by the maker Hruby & Co from Hackenburg and dated 1939. The strap is also marked 10.Kompanie Gebirgsjäger Regiment 140. The length of the strap is approx. 53cm. Gebirgsjäger Regiment 140 was formed in August 1938 in Kufstein, Austria and was part of the 2.Gebirgs-Division. In September 1939 it was mobilized and used as the II.Bataillon Gebirgsjäger Regiment 136 and saw its first combat during the invasion of Poland. InApril 1940 the order was given that Regiment 140 stayed within Regiment 136.
